Balance $294 -----END----- Entry Date: 2024-10-30T15:13:41-04:00 Called PPS. Ms. Moses said she thinks it's because the amendment tried to process before the original return. I told her we didn't file an amendment. She then said she thinks it is because someone else put their SSN wrong or the IRS mis-transcribed it. She said Accounts Management would know more about it. I asked her to transfer me, which she did. I had to put my number in for call back in 60 minutes. When they called back, I spoke with Ms. Mesta. She went to look up information and when she came back we were disconnected. -----END----- Entry Date: 2024-12-16T14:07:24-05:00 I called and left a message for Ms. Sears. I also sent her an email asking her if she can afford $50 to $75 per month to pay on the state of South Carolina balance. -----END----- Entry Date: 2024-12-16T16:48:47-05:00 Called Practitioner Priority Line and spoke to Mr. Burr, ID number 1002870772.He said they did receive one of the returns, the one marked possible duplicate, which was mine. He said it shows that they sent a notice that they needed additional info. I told him that neither she nor I received any notices. He said he can't tell what info is needed, so he's sending a referral to that department. Processing time will be about 10 weeks and by the end of that time they will either send us another notice or process the return without the information. -----END----- Entry Date: 2025-01-13T12:01:56-05:00 Ms. Sears had called me on Friday and left a message asking me to call her because she was wanting to get an update. I called her this morning and explained to her that we're not expecting anything until the middle part of February and that I would get back with her then. -----END----- Entry Date: 2025-02-04T16:41:25-05:00 Ms. Sears got a letter that the state is going to start levy on her wages. I called and spoke to Jennifer and she said the only thing we could do was to request a reduction of the levy percentage. She said the form says they will reduce it to 15%, but if I put in my letter, they will reduce it to 10%. I completed the form and got all the supporting documents ready and sent the form to Ms. Sears for her signature. -----END----- Entry Date: 2025-02-13T12:33:06-05:00 I called and spoke to Jennifer Salas with South Carolina Department of Revenue. She said they needed a second paycheck stub and that I only sent one. I then called and talked to Ms. Sears because she had called and left a message for me. Apparently she has had to sleep in her car because her electricity is turned off and she has no heat. That is all because South Carolina took 15% of her paycheck. She said it should be paid now and that she's not worried about it anymore because even if it's not full paid, there's less than $100 to pay. I did tell her that I would go ahead and do her 2024 return. -----END----- Entry Date: 2025-02-19T14:26:58-05:00 Mrs. Sears called me after she received a letter from the IRS. `Remember that they had recalculated her 2023 tax return, and after the recalculation, she had a refund of $251. From prior years being $315, I told her that that would leave her a balance due of $64. The 24 return tomorrow and then if she doesn't owe more then, we'll go online and make the payment for the $64. -----END----- Entry Date: 2025-02-24T16:58:24-05:00 Tax from Cargill should’ve been $563.45 but they only withheld $59.07. Tax from McEntire your tax should’ve be $3,580.84 but they only withheld $2,150. Tax from your 401(k) should’ve been $565.83 (including early withdrawal). They withheld $623.72 giving you a credit of $57.89 In addition, you received an Advanced Premium Tax Credit. It was based on your anticipated wages for the year. You ended up making more than anticipated which reduced your credit amount by $1,232. You now have to pay that back, increasing your balance by that much. Lastly, you were assessed a penalty for not paying estimated tax penalties. Because your withholding was so much lower than your actual tax, they are saying you should have been making estimated tax payments. See "Sears 2024 Taxes" in documents If you know someone that does taxes, I think it would be a good idea to have them look at the returns I did just to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Like I said, I do not normally prepare taxes. Once the IRS & SC DOR process the returns, I believe we can set you up on an installment agreement of about $75-85 per month. SC is the biggest unknown, because I’m not sure yet how their payment plans work, but I’ll find out. Finally, I will send you the returns I did in an encrypted email through Encyro. If you’re OK with them, just sign & date as appropriate & mail to the address shown in the instructions. -----END-----
